Incus Records

Incus Records is an independent record label that specializes in free improvised music. The publishing house founded by Evan Parker, Tony Oxley, Derek Bailey and financiers Michael Walters in London in 1970 initially published the first generation of British free jazz records - and in addition to recordings of the founders also recordings of improvisation meetings from 1976 to Bailey under the name of Company took place, and works of Kenny Wheeler, Howard Riley, Steve Beresford, the Spontaneous Music Ensemble or AMM. The label was continued until the mid-1980s by Parker and Bailey. In the last years of Bailey's Incus this operation together with Karen Brookman.
