Indy Eleven

The Indy Eleven are an American football franchise from Indianapolis, Indiana. Was founded the team in 2013. During the season 2014, it will start the game operating in the North American Soccer League.

History

On 16 January 2013, the NASL announced the expansion will enter a team from Indianapolis to the 2014 season in the league. Owner of the franchise is Ersal Ozdemir, CEO of Keystone Group LLC. This named Peter Wilt as the first president of the club. Wilt was already 1996-2005 President and General Manager of the Chicago Fire.

To select the name, a name the team contest was held. On April 25, 2013 it was announced that the name Indy Eleven has the most votes and the team therefore bear this name wird.Mit the name, the logo was also unveiled at the same time.

The Eleven will deliver their games in Michael Caroll stage. This is located on the site of the Indiana University - Purdue University and has a capacity of 12,100 spectators. The franchise plans in the medium term to build his own football stadium.
