Geographical Location

Ingoldingen is located approximately nine kilometers southwest of Biberach an der Riss far west of the state road 30 through fins it is the spring brook, which flows south-east of the village in the coming of south Danube tributary tear, of which one of two spring-fed streams in the southern part of the municipality Winterstetten village rises.

Community structure

The community Ingoldingen is next to the eponymous capital of the districts Degernau, Grodt, Winterstetten city, Winterstetten village, Muttensweiler, gene Weiler, Hervetsweiler, Wattenweiler and Hagnaufurt.

History

Ingoldingen was first mentioned in documents in 1083 as part of the Investiture Controversy. It belonged to the Benedictine Abbey of St. Georgen. Later it fell to the Zähringerplatz. 1803, the place to the Kingdom of Württemberg. see also Degernau castle, castle Linden, castle Schefoldseck

Culture and sights

The district Muttensweiler lies both on the Upper Swabian Baroque Road and on the Upper Swabian St. James of Ulm to Constance.

Structures

Built in 1750/51 by Jakob Emele " St. Jacob's Church " at a location that was already known in 1275 with a parish church. The 1983/84 renovated interior of the church is dominated by three altars. The high altar shows the beheading of the church's patron saint James. The organ was built in 1958 with fifteen registers from Biberach company Reiser.
