Intercontinental Le Mans Cup
The Intercontinental Le Mans Cup ( ILMC also short ) was organized by the Automobile Club de l' Ouest endurance racing series, which was held under the rules and guidelines of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 and 2011.
The race of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup included selected events of the continental Le Mans racing series like the American Le Mans Series, European Le Mans Series and the Asian Le Mans Series. In the debut season in 2010 consisted of three Cup events at Silverstone, Road Atlanta and Zhuhai. For the 2011 season the racing calendar was on seven events, which also include the 24 - hour race at Le Mans, expanded.
Were announced at the end of the season the best manufacturer of LMP1 and GT2/GTE as well as the best team for each vehicle class. A drivers' championship does not exist.
The Intercontinental Le Mans Cup was awarded for the 2012 season from the International Automobile Federation FIA World Championship status and the World Endurance Championship ( WEC).
