International Federation for Information Processing
The International Federation for Information Processing ( IFIP ) is an international computer science organization. It is aimed, inter alia, from various conferences such as the World Computer Congress or the International Conference on Functional Programming ( ICFP ).
It is a non-governmental organization that serves as an umbrella organization for a number of national computer science companies. It was founded in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO, as a result of the first World Computer Congress in Paris, 1959. Founder and first president was Isaac Levin Auerbach.
