Iris Robinson

Iris Robinson (nee Collins; born September 6, 1949 in Belfast ) is a Northern Irish politician. She is a member of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP ) and was until 2010 MP for the constituency of Strangford in the House of Commons. It is with Peter Robinson, First Minister of the Northern Ireland Assembly, married.

Life

Robinson graduated from a technical college in the southeast of Belfast and then worked as a private secretary. In 1992 she became the first Mayor of Castlereagh, 1998, she was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly and 2001, members of the House of Commons. One became known in January 2010 affair with a then 19 -year-olds and allegations of corruption led, inter alia, to the temporary suspension of the offices of her husband. They even went so back on 13 January 2010 by all offices.

Since 1970 she is married to Peter Robinson, with whom she has three children.
