Irupana

Irupana is a country town in the department of La Paz in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

Irupana is the central place of the district ( bolivian: municipality ) in the province of Sud Yungas Irupana. The village is situated on an altitude of 1910 m ten kilometers in a straight line north-west of the Río Boopi, a source of the river Río Beni.

Geography

Irupana is located in the Bolivian Yungas on the eastern slopes of the high mountain ridge of the Cordillera Real. The region has a pronounced diurnal climate in which the daily temperature fluctuations apparent failure than the average fluctuations over the year.

From La Paz the paved highway Route 3 leads in a northeasterly direction 60 miles to Unduavi, then branches off the unpaved Ruta 25 in a southeasterly direction and reaches over Chulumani after 97 kilometers Irupana.
