Isaac Clinton Kline

Isaac Clinton Kline ( born August 18, 1858 in Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; † 2 December 1947 in DeLand, Florida ) was an American politician. Between 1921 and 1923 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Isaac Kline attended the common schools, the State Normal School in Bloomsburg and Bucknell Academy in Lewisburg. In 1893 he graduated from Lafayette College in Easton. In the meantime, he spent five years as a teacher. After studying law and his 1894 was admitted to the bar he began to work in Sunbury in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. In 1912 he ran unsuccessfully for Congress yet.

In the congressional elections of 1920, Kline was but then in the 16th Election District of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded the Democrat John Lesher Vandling on March 4, 1921. Since he has not been confirmed in 1922, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1923. After his time in the U.S. House of Representatives Kline again practiced as a lawyer in Sunbury. He died on December 2, 1947 in DeLand.
