ISO 3166-2:MA
The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Morocco contains the codes for the 16 regions and its 51 provinces.
The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Morocco MA), the second is the code for the region (consisting of two digits) or province ( three letters) again. The current country code, in the Sixth Newsletter of 8 March 2004 (PDF) last updated.
The codes are updated twice, the second Newsletter (ISO 3166-2:2002-05-21 ) as additional classification was introduced in regions and in the sixth Newsletter (ISO 3166-2:2004-03-08 ) to notation from Laayoune to change in Laayoune.
