István Pelle

István Pelle ( born July 26, 1907 in Budapest, † March 6, 1986 in Buenos Aires ) was a Hungarian Turner and two-time Olympic champion.

He first participated in the Olympic Summer Games 1928 in Los Angeles, seven competitions and reached the best ranking in the team all-around a 10th place.

Four years later at the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was finally able to win two gold medals in the floor exercise and pommel horse and to two silver medals came in the individual all-around and the parallel bars. In the team's all-around, on the high bar and the " Tumbling " he missed each in 4th place very nearly a medal.

Pelle took in 1936 again at the Summer Olympics in Berlin, where he obtained as part of best ranking 7th in the team all-around.

After the Second World War, he emigrated and settled in Argentina.
