It's All Over Now

It's All Over Now is a classic of rock music. It was composed in 1964 by songwriters Bobby & Shirley Womack and recorded by the band of the Womack Brothers The Valentinos for the SAR label Sam Cooke for the first time. The number was a moderate success in the U.S. and might have been quickly forgotten if they did not get the R & B lovers Keith Richards and Mick Jagger in faraway London in the fingers. They decided to include this song together with several other compositions, American musician in the repertoire of its little-known band The Rolling Stones. The song gave the Rolling Stones, the final breakthrough for European audiences and became her first number - one hit in the UK ( number 26 in the United States).

The song is not to be confused with the Bob Dylan classic It's All Over Now, Baby Blue, which was also known in the versions of Them and Joan Baez.
