Iva Prandzheva

Iwa Prandschewa ( Bulgarian Ива Пранджева, English transcription Iva Prandzheva; . * February 15, 1972 in Plovdiv ) is a former Bulgarian athlete who was successful in the triple jump and long jump.

International she appeared for the first time at the Track World Junior Championships in 1990 in her hometown of Plovdiv in appearance. There she won the title in the long jump. At the World Athletics Championships 1991 in Tokyo, however, she failed to qualify.

In the following, it moved increasingly to the triple jump. In this discipline, she first won at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993 with a length of 14.23 m the bronze medal. In 1995, she was both the World Indoor Championships in Barcelona and at the World Championships in Gothenburg second in the triple jump. In Gothenburg, they also presented with their length of 15.18 m to a personal best.

At the European Indoor Championships in Stockholm in 1996 won with 14.54 meters she a gold medal in the triple jump. In the same year she came at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in the long jump at the seventh and in the triple jump to fourth place, but was later disqualified for doping with Methandrostenolone.

At the end of their two -year ban, she won the silver medal in the triple jump ( 14.94 meters ) and the bronze medal in the long jump (6.78 m) at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Maebashi in 1999. At the world championships in the same year in Seville, it was 14.54 m fifth in the triple jump.

In early 2000, she won the European Indoor Championships in Ghent bronze medals in the long jump ( 6.80m ) and the triple jump ( 14.63 m ). Shortly before the start of the Olympic Games in Sydney, she was convicted of taking the banned anabolic steroid nandrolone and then live long locked.

Iwa Prandschewa is 1,74 m tall and weighed about 58 kg competition times.
