Ivan Strinić

Ivan Strinić ( born July 17, 1987 in Split) is a Croatian football player. Since 2011 he is at Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk under contract.

Career

Association

Strinić began his career at Hajduk Split and later in France at Le Mans FC before moving to NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac, in which he was brought into the first team in 2007. It was in the second highest Croatian league runner-up, two points behind Croatia Sesvete. In the following season he was bound by the first division club Hajduk Split. Hajduk was runner-up and reached the cup final. The defender played game of the first round of the Europa League against FC Birkirkara on 17 July 2008 from Malta for the first time at European club level. 2009/10 once again the second place was achieved, furthermore you could win the Croatian Cup.

In January 2011, moved Strinić for a transfer fee of four million euros from Hajduk Split for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk Ukrainian club and signed for four years.

National

Strinić played between 2002 and 2008 a total of 32 caps at youth level for Croatia. His debut in the Croatian national team, he was on 19 May 2010 in a 1-0 win in a friendly against Austria. In the 2012 European Football Championship Strinić played all games over the full distance.
