Ivica Banović ( born August 2, 1980 in Zagreb) is a Croatian football player.

Career

Werder Bremen

Born in Zagreb midfielder joined in the summer of 2000, the Croatian capital club NK Zagreb to Werder Bremen. There, he competed in four years 52 Bundesliga games and scored two goals. In his last season at Werder Banović Thomas Schaaf was allocated to the amateur squad, but also played for the first team. For the amateurs of SV Werder Bremen he played five Regional games in which he scored five goals.

1 FC Nuremberg

In the summer of 2004, the Croatian national team transferred to 1 FC Nuremberg. Although he regularly came there to use him in three seasons, the final breakthrough to the regulars did not succeed. Therefore, his 2006/ 07 expiring contract was not renewed by the Nuremberg area. His last competitive game for the Franks was obtained finals of the DFB - Pokal 2006/07. SC Freiburg and MSV Duisburg
