Jáchal Department

The department Jáchal located north of the San Juan province in western Argentina is one of 19 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the province of La Rioja, to the east by the department of Valle Fertil, to the south by the departments Caucete, Angaco, Albardon and Ullum and to the west by the department of Iglesia.

The capital of the department Jáchal is San José de Jáchal.
