Ekoi (also Ejagham, ISO 639-3: etu ) is a bantoide language that is spoken by a total of 116,000 people, including 67,300 in Nigeria ( here in the state of Cross River ) and 49,400 in Cameroon ( in the South West region ).
Ekoi has three dialects: Istočni, Zapadni and Juzni. According to her the ekoiden languages are named and it has in this group, most speakers.
Ejagham is part of the African family of languages of the Niger - Congo languages , namely the subgroup of ekoiden languages within the Southern bantoiden languages. The language has a certain resemblance to the Efik and Ibibio languages . Nevertheless, the speaker of the Ejagham English or French use to entertain themselves with these peoples, since these two languages are the only official languages of Cameroon.
