The Jaguar R5 was the Formula 1 racing car by Jaguar for the 2004 season. The car followed the Jaguar used in the previous season R4. He was the last car that Jaguar announced for a Formula 1 season.
Driver
After a constant 2003 season Mark Webber was still first regular driver. As a teammate, he received the Austrian Christian Klien, who made his debut in the 2004 season. Justin Wilson, of the original, dismissed because of poor performance driver Antonio Pizzonia replaced second in the previous season, did not get to train.
Technology
The R5 was developed from the previous year's car R4. In the winter tests, the car showed promising, but he lacked reliability (12 failures).
Season 2004
The 2004 season was disappointing with only 10 points and seventh place in the Constructors' Championship. Mark Webber could occasionally with good starting places attract attention, but this often does not translate into points.
After the season, the team was taken over by Red Bull and renamed Red Bull Racing.
