Jakob Häne

Jacob Häne ( born May 31, 1913 in Kirchberg, Canton of St. Gallen, † April 4, 1978 ) was a Swiss painter.

Häne is known primarily as a painter of religious subjects. His principal work is the " Apocalypse ", the Book of Revelation, in 46 large-format images. The picture book " Apocalypse - Book of Revelation " was released on October 25, 1976 in the Christiana -Verlag. 1978 has been also published in French, this illustrated book. In addition, further illustrated books and prints published his works.

Lived with his wife Emma Häne -Sutter and worked in Kirchberg. They had four daughters: Eva Maria ( b. 1944 ), Ruth (* 1946), Lucy ( 1950-1999 ) and Frances (* 1952).
