Jakub Petružálek

Jakub Petružálek ( born April 24, 1985 in Litvinov, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is since May 2011 Amur Khabarovsk in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Jakub Petružálek began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the HC Litvinov, for the first team, he was active in the Czech Extraliga 2002-2004. Subsequently, he was selected in the ninth round in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 as a total 266 players from the New York Rangers, for whom he never played, however. In the season 2004/ 05 the attacker for the Ottawa 67 's ran on from the Ontario Hockey League. The 2005/06 season started the right shooter when his former club HC Litvinov in the Czech Republic, but finished it in the OHL with the Barrie Colts.

The 2006/07 season began Petružálek at New York's farm team, the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League and the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL before he was hired by the Carolina Hurricanes, for their AHL farm team, he was active until 2009. In addition, his debut in the National Hockey League for the Hurricanes, for which he was a master in two games, the Czech was in the season 2008/ 09.

On 15 May 2009 Petružálek signed a contract for the 2009/10 season at Lukko Rauma of the Finnish SM- liiga, which was renewed in December of the same year to the end of the 2010/11 season. Petružálek completed a total of 131 appearances for Lukko in the SM liiga, in which he scored 99 points scorer and his team in 2011 led to the third place in the Finnish Championship. After this success has been committed for Amur Khabarovsk of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Between January and April 2013 Petružálek was loaned to HK Dynamo Moscow and won the Gagarin Cup with this, the championship trophy of the KHL.

Internationally

For Petružálek Czech Republic took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2003, as well as the U20 Junior World Championship 2005 part.
