James Duckworth ( born January 21, 1992, Sydney ) is an Australian tennis player.

Life and career

2012: Grand Slam debut and first Tour success

Duckworth played in 2012 for the first time at World Tour level, apart from a lost first round in doubles at the Australian Open 2011. At the tournament in Brisbane, he received a wild card and defeated in his first ATP singles of his career, the Frenchman Nicolas Mahut, which to the time was performed on rank 80 of the ATP rankings, 6-4, 6-4. The second-round match against compatriot Gilles Simon mahouts, set at position two, Duckworth lost however clearly with 3:6, 5:7.
