Ján Laco

Ján Laco ( born December 1, 1981 in Liptovsky Mikulas, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey goaltender who is under contract with HK Donbass Donetsk in the Kontinental Hockey League since 2012.

Career

Ján Laco began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas, for the first team, he was active in the Extraliga 2000-2005. After the goalkeeper had worked there in the 2004/05 season a regular place, he moved to the end of the season Slovak top club HC Košice, in which he showed constant performance in the following two years. Nevertheless, he returned for the 2007 /08 season for his club MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas back.

From 2008 to 2010 Laco stood at HKm Zvolen between the posts and was a Gegentorschnitt 2.39 or 2.63 in the main round each one of the best goalies of the entire Extraliga. In Zvolen, the Slovak could recommend for a sample contract with the newly formed HC Lev Poprad from the Kontinental Hockey League. Since the HC Lev did not take up the game mode, Laco moved to HK Nitra, where he served as a back -up of Michal Fikrt. In July 2011 Laco then moved for the second time for HC Lev. By 2012, however, he went to HK Donbass Donetsk.
