Jankov (Benešov District)

Yankov ( German Jankau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers south-west of Vlašim and belongs to Okres Benešov.

Geography

Yankov is located at the foot of Chrastišov in a world characterized by ponds and hills landscape of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the upper reaches of the Chotýšanka. To the west rises the 688 m high Džbány, according to which the micro-region Džbány its name.

History
