Jannah in the Quran

In the Qur'an Jannah is described as the place to live in the God at the beginning of time Adam and Eve can (Sura 7:19 ). In addition, it is described in numerous places in the Quran as an otherworldly place of joy that is promised to the elect:

" (This is ) a description of Paradise which has been promised to the righteous: streams flow through it; its fruits like his shadow are everlasting. That is the reward of those who fear Allah; and the reward of disbelievers is the Fire. "

Jannah in Islamic theology

Much discussed in the medieval Islamic theology was the question of whether the paradise of Adam is identical to the paradise, where the end of time, the Blessed will occur. While al -Hasan al - Basri and his entourage also the founder of the Mu ʿ tazila, Wasil ibn ʿ Ata ʾ (d. 748 ) and ʿ Amr ibn ʿ Ubayd, taught that this identity is given and thus the man promised paradise existed to begin with, represented another theologian, Dirar ibn ʿ Amr (d. 796 ), the view that paradise and Hell are only created during the End Times. Dirar 's position have been later many other Mu ʿ taziliten as Hisham al - Fuwatī, Abbad ibn ʿ Sulaimān and Abu Hashim connected. The opposite side has prevailed only after a long struggle.
