Jánossomorja

Jánossomorja ( German St. Johann ) is a city in Hungary in Győr- Moson -Sopron near the border with Austria (border crossing Andau about 5 km), and to Mosonmagyaróvár (approx. 13 km). It has nearly 6,000 inhabitants ( 2011) and consists of three parts Mosonszentjános, Mosonszentpéter, Pusztasomorja which were united in 1970 to the city Jánossomorja.

2009 celebrated Jánossomorja be 800jähriges existence.
