Jason Lee (actor)
Jason Lee ( born April 25, 1970 in Huntington Beach, California) is an American actor and producer. He is known among others from various films from the pen of Kevin Smith. Before he became an actor, he earned his living as a professional skateboarder.
Career
Jason Lee grew up in California and rave at an early age for skateboarding. To become professional, he left with 16 high school and went to the scene a name. The early 90s, he was involved in several music videos and so got access to the film business. His first (still silent ) role in a film in 1993 Mi vida loca. Two years later his first speaking role in the film Mallrats Kevin Smith. The shooting was the beginning of a long friendship with Kevin Smith, yet emerged from the many projects.
After two more films from the View Askew home ( Kevin Smith's production company ) was to see Jason Lee in 1997 in Kevin Smith's third directorial effort Chasing Amy. In it, he played Ben Affleck's friend and was honored for his performance with an Independent Spirit Award. In the movie Kissing a Fool (1998) he should for his film friend, played by David Schwimmer, perform a loyalty test and seduce his wife. His first major Hollywood production was The Public Enemy No. 1 of 1998, in which he observed something he should not have seen.
He then worked again with Kevin Smith and turned with him dogma. He plays the demon Azrael and tries to support the two fallen angels Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as possible. In Mumford, he embodies a young eccentric billionaire who is looking for the right woman. As the lead singer of Stillwater he is in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous directing work on the road, and along with the devious duo Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt in Heartbreakers - Warning: Sharp curves! . His upcoming projects of the Kevin Smith film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and belonged Vanilla Sky by Cameron Crowe.
2005 Jason Lee took his first lead role in a television series. He plays the small-time crook Earl J. Hickey in the comedy series My Name Is Earl by the year 2009.
Lee is married since July 2008 with the Model Ceren Alkac, with whom he has a daughter and a son. His first marriage to Carmen Llywelyn was divorced in 2001. With his former fiancée Beth Riesgraf the actor also has a son, who was born 2003. Jason Lee is a member of the Church of Scientology.
