Jassen Cullimore

Jassen Cullimore A. ( born December 4, 1972 in Simcoe, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defender who played for the Iserlohn Roosters in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Jassen Cullimore began his career as a hockey player with the Peterborough Petes, for whom he played in the Ontario Hockey League from 1988 to 1992. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 in the second round than a total of 29 players from the Vancouver Canucks. After Cullimore 1992 to 1994 exclusively for the former farm team of Vancouver, which, in the American Hockey League was Hamilton Canucks on the ice, he was in the shortened 1994/95 season his debut in the National Hockey League. On 13 November 1996 Cullimore was released in exchange for Donald Brashear to the Montreal Canadiens, for whom he played one and a half years. On 22 January 1998, the Tampa Bay Lightning took the players under contract, the Montréal had to give up due to exceeding the salary cap.

With Tampa Bay Cullimore won the 2004 Stanley Cup. During the lockout in the subsequent season the defender paused with ice hockey. Before he signed on 22 July 2004 as a free agent contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. In June 2007, Cullimore was first transferred to his former club Montreal Canadiens before it in October of the same year - was released to the Florida Panthers - without having previously played for the Canadiens. For the Panthers, he was for two years a regular player, but after the 2008/ 09 season extended the management is not his contract.

In October 2009 he was given a try-out contract with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. His good performances led to his return to the Chicago Blackhawks, who committed him in February 2010. Cullimore spent the entire season but in Rockford, for the season 2010/11 he was appointed to the NHL squad to Chicago. After 36 NHL games, he was sent to the farm team again in January 2011.

In the summer of 2011, Cullimore opted for a move to Europe and signed a year contract with the Iserlohn Roosters of the DEL.

Internationally

For Canada Cullimore took part in the World Youth Championship in 1992.
