Jazz Kitchen

The Jazz Kitchen has been founded in 1994 jazz club and restaurant in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The club was opened on the corner of 54th Street and College Avenue in 1994 in the former function room The Place to Start; It is located in the so-called Broad Ripple Village in Indianapolis. 2009 declared him the magazine Down Beat the 100 most important jazz clubs in the world The Jazz Kitchen is owned by David Allee, son of jazz musician and composer Steve Allee.

In the Club guest appearances both local artists such as Frank Glover and internationally known musicians; among them Terence Blanchard, Ray Brown, Larry Coryell, Jon Faddis, Joey DeFrancesco, Slide Hampton, Rufus Reid and the formation Yellowjackets. JJ Johnson came with his last group in March 1995 on three evenings at the Jazz Kitchen; Harry Connick Jr. has performed there in May 2002. 2009 hosted the Jazz Kitchen, the record label Owl Studios and the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation, the Indy Jazz Fest.
