Jean-Baptiste Dominique Rusca

Jean -Baptiste Rusca, actually Jean -Baptiste Dominique Rusca ( born November 27, 1759 in La Brigue, Comté de Nice, † February 14, 1814 in Soissons ) was a French physician and major general of the infantry with Italian roots.

Life

Rusca came from the Comté de Nice, a part of the Kingdom of Sardinia. He was a physician and a great supporter of the French Revolution. So he went to France and then entered the Grande Armée.

During the siege of Toulon in 1793, he led the field hospital, later he settled in the Armée d'Italie move and led a sapper battalion there. During Napoleon's Italian campaign he was captured Austrian troops.

In the sixth coalition war Rusca was used near Soissons, where he was killed on February 14, 1814 during the fighting.
