Jean-Jacques Sempé

Jean -Jacques Sempé ( born August 17, 1932 in Bordeaux ) is a French illustrator and caricaturist, known as Sempé.

Life

For example, it is known the children's book series Little Nicholas, which was created in collaboration with the author René Goscinny. 2008 Sempé was awarded the eoplauen price.

Sempé is friends with the German writer Patrick Süskind. For the short story The story of Mr. Summer of 1991 he wrote the drawings. In return Suskind translated some works Sempé into German.
