Jedlová

Jedlova ( German Schönbrunn ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 16 kilometers southwest of the city Svitavy and belongs to Okres Svitavy.

Geography

The Waldhufendorf extends in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the valley of Zlatý creek for a distance of six kilometers from northwest to southeast. History

The village was founded in the second half of the 13th century at times Ottokar II Přemysl in Grenzwald between Bohemia and Moravia. First mentioned was the place in 1349 under the Latin name Pulcherfons ( = Schönbrunn ). The original parish church was built at the end of the 13th century and in 1677 a branch of Bistrau. Beautifully Brno was one of belonging to the castle rule Svojanov villages. In the reign division of Schönbrunn in 1557 reached the foliage villages share. In 1582 the village was part of a further property division to rule Bystrau in which it remained until the abolition of patrimonial regimes.

In the 17th century a mineral spring was discovered in the search for gold on the western slope of the Find iceberg. After the end of the Second World War, the German inhabitants were expelled from Jedlova. At this time also went out of bathing in Balda and the place lost its status as the district.
