Jenny Lewis

Jenny Lewis ( born January 8, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada) is an American singer from Los Angeles.

Life

In her childhood, she appeared in various commercials and films such as Joy Stick Heroes and Troop Beverly Hills as an actress. When filming they got to know Blake Sennett, with whom she later in the U.S. indie scene now very popular band Rilo Kiley founded some time. It is also through their participation as a guest singer in various other bands, such as The Postal Service and many bands from the environment of the Saddle Creek label known.

In January 2006, she released her first solo album, Rabbit Fur Coat, on which she portrays a very personal part of their childhood experiences as an actress, her relationship to her mother and to religion. Musically oriented Jenny Lewis on Rabbit Fur Coat to soul and country music legends such as Dusty Springfield and Loretta Lynn. She is supported by the gospel singers Chandra and Leigh Watson ( The Watson Twins ).

On September 23, 2008 her second solo album Acid Tongue was released by Warner Bros. Records.

In October 2010, she published with her partner Jonathan Rice under the name " Jenny And Johnny " I'm Having Fun Now Album.
