Jens Grembowietz

Jens Grembowietz (born 2 February 1987 in Essen) is a German footballer who is 09 January 2013 in the SG Wattenscheid under contract. His preferred position is central defense.

Career

Grembowietz began his career at the DJK Arminia Ückendorf. From 1996 to 2006 he played for the youth teams of FC Schalke 04 and 2006 to 2008 for the second team of the club. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to Dynamo Dresden, where he signed a two-year contract. After one season, the contract was terminated early and he moved to Preußen Münster.

From the 2010/11 season he plays for the South division side KSV Hessen Kassel; in the summer of 2011, extended his Grembowietz originally completed one-year contract for another year. After a groin operation in April 2012, his contract was not renewed and he was from first summer without a club.

On January 18, 2013 it was announced that Grembowietz has signed a first dated before 30 June 2013 contract with the Westphalian Oberliga SG Wattenscheid 09. Although Grembowietz is a skilled defender, he played in the second half mostly in the defensive midfield and was able to work out there a regular place alongside captain David Zajas. On June 5, 2013 Grembowietz increased with the SG Wattenscheid 09 after a 1-1 draw against TuS Dornsberg in the West Regional on.
