Jetřichovice

Jetřichovice ( German: Dittersbach ) is in the north of the Czech Republic near the German border in the Bohemian Switzerland.

It originated as a settlement in the late 14th century ( first mentioned in 1387 ) associated with the expansion of the old Bohemian Road, a trade route to Lusatia. Jetřichovice is a well known tourist destination, especially for cyclists, hikers and climbers. Not far from the village are the so-called Dittersbacher Switzerland of Marie Rock, the Wilhelmine wall, the Pauline reason of Rudolf stone and rock castle Falkenstein.

The place has an old tradition of glassblowing, which is still visible today in demonstration workshops. The old Bohemian Glass Road began here.
