Geography

Geographical Location

Jettenbach located in Southeast Upper Bavaria in the foothills of the Alps in the valley of the Inn. The village is located around 20 km north-east of Wasserburg, 18 km south-west of the county town Mühldorf and just 7 km from Waldkraiburg. Jettenbach has a direct connection to the railway network of SüdostBayernBahn.

History

Jettenbach in Upper Bavaria belonged to the Counts Toerring - Jettenbach. The village was part of the Electorate of Bavaria and formed a closed Hofmark whose seat was Castle Jettenbach. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

The opening of the railway line Rosenheim - Mühldorf Jettenbach received on May 1, 1876 following the railway network.
