Ji Dong-won (born 28 May 1991, Jeju- si) is a South Korean football player.

Career

Association

Ji Dong-won was trained at the Gwangyang Jecheol High School. Between 2007 and 2008, he interrupted his education and played in the youth of Reading FC. In 2010 he debuted as a professional for the Chunnam Dragons. In July 2011 he moved to the English Premier League for Sunderland AFC. For the second half of the season 2012/13 Ji was awarded to the German first division club FC Augsburg. January 20, 2013 (18th Round ) he made his debut in the Bundesliga as his club won against Fortuna Dusseldorf 3-2. His first Bundesliga goal he scored on 23 February 2013 ( 23 Matchday) in a 2-1 victory in the home match against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim with the results for the interim 1-0 lead in the 45th minute. On April 14, 2013 ( 29 Matchday) get him two goals in a 2-0 win at home against Eintracht Frankfurt.

National

In 2012 he was a member of the squad for the Olympic Games and came in all six games for use. In the 3rd place match he won with his team the bronze medal, the first medal for South Korean football player.
