James Nathaniel "Jim" Brown ( born February 17, 1936 on St. Simons, Georgia ) is an American former running back and lacrosse player and actor.

Life

Brown played 1956-1966 in the U.S. professional league NFL with the Cleveland Browns. He is considered one of the best players in the history of American football and was nominated nine times for the Pro Bowl. He is the only athlete in the world, which is represented in three different Hall of Fame Pro Football, College Football and Lacrosse. He is a member of the National Football League 1960s All- Decade Team and in 1994 he was also a member of the National Football League 75th Anniversary All- Time Team. 1963 Bert Bell Award, he was awarded.

After his active sports career, he began a second career as an actor. Here he came into some larger secondary roles (such as in The Dirty Dozen, Ice Station Zebra 1967, 1968), but could never make it big. After he had seen in the 1970s, mainly in B- movies, he could get (Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger Running) again roles in major Hollywood productions since 1987.
