Jinzaburo Takagi

Jinzaburō Takagi (Japanese高木 仁 三郎, Takagi Shinzaburo; born July 18, 1938 in Maebashi, † October 8, 2000 ) was a Japanese chemist who specializes in nuclear chemistry.

Takagi graduated in 1961 his studies in natural sciences from the University of Tokyo. From 1969 to 1973 he was at the University of Tokyo Prefecture (today Metropolische University of Tokyo ) worked as an assistant professor. He was the 1972 guest physicist Max Planck Society.

After retiring in 1975, he founded the private Institute of Physics Genshiryoku Shiryo Jōhōshitsu (原子 力 资料 情报 室, Eng. Citizens ' Nuclear Information Center, CNIC ) and warned about the dangers of nuclear power. He has already in 1995 pointed to the Unkontrollbarkeit of nuclear power for large earthquakes and tsunamis. In 1997 he was awarded with the Right Livelihood Award Mycle Schneider.
