Joanna Lohman

Joanna Lohman ( born June 26, 1982 in Silver Spring, Maryland) is an American soccer player who is under contract with the NWSL subscriber Boston Breakers for the 2013 season.

Career

Association

After Lohman her career at the University team at Pennsylvania State University, Penn State Nittany Lions, had well begun at Maryland Pride, she signed for the 2006 season in the W - League team Washington Freedom, was there but not in league games used. After a year in Sweden at Bälinge IF she returned in 2009 for the premiere season of the newly formed WPS to their homeland and was initially drafted by the franchise of the Saint Louis Athletica. However, since they the Greater Washington did not want to leave, she was transferred to Premier League rivals Washington Freedom. Following Lohman played from 2010 to 2011 at the Philadelphia Independence and then moved to Europe again, this time for Spanish side Espanyol, with whom she was 2012 Cup Winners' Cup.

In 2012, she ran after her return to the U.S. for the DC United Women on the W-League. In the 2013 season she played for the Boston Breakers in the newly founded NWSL before they announced their free loan switch to the Cypriot first division and the Champions League hopefuls Apollon Limassol in September 2013. The end of 2013 Lohman returned to Boston.

Since her involvement with Philadelphia Independence from 2010 Lohman always played on the same team as her partner Lianne Sanderson.

National

Lohman was part of the U-21 national team of the United States and later graduated seven caps for the senior national team.
