Joaquín José Morón Hidalgo

Joaquín José Morón Hidalgo ( born August 16, 1942 in Boconó, † October 30, 2013 in Acarigua ) was Bishop of Acarigua - Araure.

Life

Joaquín José Morón Hidalgo received on 1 August 1965, the ordination. He was pastor of the Cathedral of Trujillo and rector of the seminary of Trujillo.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 25 July 1992 on the Bishop of Valle de la Pascua. He received his episcopal consecration of the Apostolic Nuncio to Venezuela, Oriano Quilici, on 7 October of the same year; Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo were co-consecrators, Archbishop of Mérida, and Alfredo José Rodríguez Figueroa, Archbishop of Cumana.

On December 27, 2002, he was appointed by Pope John Paul II, the first bishop of Acarigua - Araure.
