Joe Letteri
Joseph Letteri, ONZM ( * 1957 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, United States) is an American specialist for Visual Effects and Academy Award winner.
Life
Letteri, a graduate of Center High School ( Pennsylvania) and the University of California, first worked at Industrial Light and Magic (ILM ), before joining the early 2000s to Weta Digital and since the successful blockbusters " The Lord of the Rings" and "King Kong" was involved.

Award
At the Oscars in 2003, 2004 and 2006 Letteri has been awarded three times with the Oscar. At the Academy Awards in 2005, it remained only for a nomination. For Avatar, he won the Oscar in 2010 (jointly with Stephen Rosenbaum, Richard Baneham and Andrew R. Jones).
