Stephen Rosenbaum

Stephen Rosenbaum ( born October 26, 1965 in Tacoma, Washington) is an American specialist in visual effects and two-time Oscar winner.

Life

Rosenbaum worked as a computer graphic artist for several Hollywood films, including technically demanding as Back to the Future II, Terminator 2 or Jurassic Park. For his work on the film Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks as the main character from the year 1994 he won at the Academy Awards in 1995, together with Ken Ralston, George Murphy and Allen Hall an Oscar in the category BAFTA Award for best special effects.

Rosenbaum's first film in the Department of Visual Effects 1996 was the comedy Michael with John Travolta in the lead role. For contact, he won 1998 International Monitor Award and was nominated for a Saturn Award for best special effects. Also for X -Men 2 2004 he received a Saturn Award nomination.

In James Cameron's 3D blockbuster Avatar - Pandora he won in 2010 with Joe Letteri, Richard Baneham and Andy Jones his second Oscar and another BAFTA Award for Best Visual Effects.

The films Abyss, Terminator 2, Death Becomes Her, and Jurassic Park, where he was a member of the computer graphics department and The Tempest by Wolfgang Petersen, with whom he worked as Additional Visual Effects Supervisor, won Oscars visual for the best effects.
