Joel González

Joel Gonzalez Bonilla ( born September 30, 1989 in Figueres ) is a Spanish Taekwondo. It starts in the weight class up to 58 kg.

González ventured into the world's best in 2009. He was born in Vigo Junior European Champion and surprised later in adults range than with a final victory over Damián Villa won the world title at the World Championships in Copenhagen. Then in the following year he won the title also at the European Championships in St Petersburg. At the 2011 World Championships in Gyeongju and the 2012 European Championship in Manchester González was able to continue its supremacy in the flyweight and defended his title successfully in each case.

González reached in January 2012 at the European Olympic qualifying tournament in Kazan in the weight class up to 58 kg the final and qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In May 2012, it became known that Gonzalez was able to enter into a sponsorship deal with Nike as one of the first Taekwondo. In London, he succeeded by winning the Olympic gold medal, the greatest success of his career, in which he beat in the final Lee Dae- hoon.
