Johan Witteveen

Hendrikus Johannes Witteveen ( born June 12, 1921 in Zeist ) was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Netherlands, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund and first chairman of the Group of Thirty.

Witteveen was a member of the VVD ( Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Démocratie ). 24 July 1963 to 14 April 1965, Finance Minister Witteveen of the Netherlands. April 5, 1967 to July 6, 1971, he was again Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands. From 1 September 1973 to 16 June 1978, he was Managing Director of the IMF.

The Honorary Professor in Economics is a member of the Advisory Board of the European Management Institute.
