Appreciation

Pullois three-voice Missa sine nomine is one of the earliest continental cyclic measuring; it probably dates from the 1450s and shows very strong English influence. The other works probably date from a later period. Particularly well known is the motet Flos de spina, perhaps written in his Italian period, is clearly influenced by Johannes Ockeghem. The songs are of average quality and are characterized by frequent imitations. The largest part of his work is lost.
