John Hope, 2nd Earl of Hopetoun

John Hope, 2nd Earl of Hopetoun ( born September 7, 1704 † February 12, 1781 ) was a British nobleman.

He was the eldest son of Charles Hope, 1st Earl of Hopetoun and Lady Henrietta Johnstone.

Hope was married three times. His first marriage he went with Anne Ogilvy, a daughter of James Ogilvy, 5th Earl of Findlater, and Lady Elizabeth Hay, one on 14 September 1733. After her death he married Jane Oliphant († March 16, 1767 ), daughter of Robert Oliphant, on 30 October 1762nd His last marriage he went with Lady Elizabeth Leslie († April 10, 1788 ), daughter of Alexander Melville, 5th Earl of Leven, and Elizabeth Monypenny, on 10 June 1767.

John Hope inherited when his father died in 1742 the title of Earl of Hopetoun. He was also in 1747 for asset managers ( good traders in Lunacy ) for his half- uncle, George Johnstone, 4th Earl of Annandale and Hart Fell determined.
