John Thomson (comedian)
John Patrick Thomson ( born April 2, 1969 in Salford, Lancashire, born Patrick Francis McAleer ) is a British actor and comedian.
Life and achievements
His birth mother gave him a few weeks off after his birth for adoption. He grew up as an adopted son of a Catholic family and attended the Lancashire school and college. There they noticed that he had a talent in the field of comedy. After successfully graduating from college, he studied drama at Manchester Metropolitan University.
During his studies there he met Steve Coogan, who gave him a job on the TV show Spitting Image. Since then he has been an active comedian and an actor and has appeared in many television shows and series, which were mostly produced by the British broadcasters BBC and ITV. In addition, he has appeared in supporting roles in several films such as The Young Poisoner, 24 Hour Party People and Inkheart manual.
Thomson is married to his longtime girlfriend Samantha Sharp, with whom he has two daughters.
