Jonas Holøs

Jonas Holos ( born August 27, 1987 in Sarpsborg ) is a Norwegian ice hockey player who is since March 2013 to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Jonas Holos began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of Sparta Sarpsborg, for the first team he was in the 2003/04 season his debut in the GET ligaen. In the following four years the defender regulars was always in the highest Norwegian league. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the sixth round as the 170th overall player of the Colorado Avalanche. First, the right-handed shooter but remained in Europe and received in the summer of 2008, a contract with BK in the Swedish Elitserien Färjestad, with whom he was in the 2008 /09 season at first champion.

On 26 May 2010 he signed a entry-level contract with the Colorado Avalanche. To the beginning of the season 2010/11 Holos was in the NHL squad of the team and made his debut on October 16, 2010 in the National Hockey League, as he stood in the Islanders game against the New York on the ice. After he had been sent in the meantime the farm team to the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League, the Norwegians returned to Colorado for a few games before he was again summoned to the farm team.

Between October 2011 and March 2013 he played for the Växjö Lakers Hockey in the Elitserien, before he was taken from Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Internationally

For Norway Holos took at junior level at the U18 Junior B World Cup 2005 U18 World Junior Championship in 2004 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2005 and 2007 and the Under-20 Junior World Cup in 2006 in part.

In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships A- 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the qualifying tournament for this.
