The Jonava railway station is a railway station in the city Jonava in Kaunas County in Lithuania. It lies on the railway line Kaišiadorys - Liepāja and is the starting point of a branch line to Kaunas and thus represents the meeting point of the railway link from Latvian Liepaja ( Libau ) in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius ( Vilna ) and dar. to Kaunas Railway Station is by the Lithuanian railway company Lietuvos Geležinkeliai operated.

History

The station building was built in 1871 by the Libau - Romny train. It was at this time direct to Saint Petersburg and Liepāja. In Soviet times, there were trains to Lvov (Lviv ) in today's Ukraine.
