Jörg Müller (cyclist)

Jörg Müller ( born January 23, 1961 in Aarau ) is a retired Swiss cyclist.

Jörg Müller was 1984-1994 professional racer. In 1985, he won the Tour de Romandie, 1986, the Tour d' Armorica. In 1987 he was Swiss champion in the road race after he was back in 1984 has become on the track national champion in the individual pursuit. In 1989 he won the Grand Prix des Amériques. In 1988 he finished the six-day race in Zurich together with Daniel Gisiger the first place.

Began in 1984 Jörg Müller in three disciplines - individual pursuit, team pursuit and points race at the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles; in the points race, he finished fourth.

Eight times took Jörg Müller 1986-1994 at the Tour de France in part. At the start of 1989, he won with his team PDM Concorde the team time trial ( amongst other things Steven Rooks and Sean Kelly). Twice he started also at the Giro d' Italia and the Vuelta a España.

After his retirement from cycling Jörg Müller in the early 2000s worked as a spokesman for Lance Armstrong. He is not to be confused with the German racing driver Jörg Müller, a doping confession took off in 2007.
