Jörgen Pettersson (footballer)

Jörgen Pettersson ( born September 29, 1975 in Lackalange ) is a Swedish football player.

Career as a player

Pettersson started his career at Dösjebro IF in Sweden and moved to the beginning of his professional career at Malmö FF. In 1995 he was the jump in the Bundesliga to Borussia Mönchengladbach. After 4 years and 114 league games (32 goals) moved the striker 1 FC Kaiserslautern, but could not there to properly enforce and went after the expiry of his contract to Denmark for FC Copenhagen. A year later, Pettersson moved back to his home and played from 2004 to the Landskrona BoIS in the second Swedish league. In 2009, he played for the Swedish fourth division Häljarps IF.

Pettersson played 27 caps for the Swedish national team, scoring eight goals. He stood in the Euro 2000 squad and came to two appearances in the tournament.

Career as a coach

In the 2009 season Pettersson was an assistant coach at his longtime Landskrona BoIS. In 2012 he was again assistant coach at Malmö FF. The end of 2012 it was announced that from 2013 Pettersson takes over as coach at Landskrona by Henrik Larsson.

Private

Pettersson is a member of the founded in 2004 Swedish rock band " Soulweeper " (vocals and guitar).
